My stay with the home and Bryan was brilliant beyond words - such a great experience as my first Worldpackers. They were so accommodating, looked after me and always made sure I was okay when I was travelling. They are great at communicating (even in Spanglish) and introduced me to friends and family, included me in stuff they did in their free time, and taught me how to cook traditional Spanish and Colombian food! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them, absolutely no complaints :))

The home and Bryan are very nice and friendly. During my stay I learned a lot about Catalonian culture, we made a lot of trips and I got to meet their family and friends. Their house is located in a small town in the middle of Catalonia, but connections to other towns and Barcelona are very good. The place is ideal for someone who wants to relax, but not for partying. On the weekends there are always things to do (alone or with the home and Bryan), but night life is not really a thing there. Finally, communication might be a struggle sometimes because of their level in English.

The home & Bryan provided a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The work is simple and fair and it was also a great opportunity to practice Spanish and Catalan (the region they live in speaks Catalan). There were a couple misunderstandings (language barrier) and an uncomfortable moment that needed to be addressed, but with clear and direct communication, they were solved. I got to meet the home's family and Bryan's friends and to try Spanish food! There is a lot of downtime so volunteers need to be proactive about creating their own experience. Overall, I would recommend :)
