Rules of the House for Lighthouse Hostel Volunteers
Welcome to Lighthouse Hostel, a project we are building with a lot of effort and dedication. As part of our team, it is essential that we all respect some basic rules so the hostel operates in the best possible way and we can all enjoy a pleasant environment.
1. Punctuality and responsibility
Fulfill assigned shifts: Be punctual at the schedule agreed for each task (reception, cleaning, etc.). Punctuality is key to the good functioning of the hostel.
Commitment to tasks: Each volunteer has assigned responsibilities that must be fulfilled seriously. If you can't meet your shift or task, please notify in advance.
2. Respect for the space and others
Keep common areas clean: Make sure common areas (kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc.) are tidy after use.
Respect for others' rest: Avoid disturbing noises, especially at night. The rest of our guests is essential for the hostel's atmosphere.
Communicate respectfully: Maintain a kind, respectful and open attitude with both the staff and guests.
3. Use of space and facilities
Care of the facilities: Take care of furniture and common areas. The hostel is a shared place, so it's essential to treat objects and spaces with respect.
Access to restricted areas: Only enter areas assigned to volunteers. If you need to access other areas, ensure you have the relevant authorization.
4. Schedules and teamwork
Respect work shifts: Volunteers have a set schedule that they must respect.
