Marie and Yolina are some of the nicest people, and Haus Kärnten is the cutest place. The work is not bad at all. I was doing housekeeping and typically worked from 10 to about 12:30 -- cleaning about 5 rooms a day. In the afternoon, we are free to do whatever, but there is a nice lake nearby and lots of hiking. Would definitely recommend this experience!

I absolutely loved my time at the guest house. I spent three weeks in September and was welcomed so generously into Marie's, Yolina's and Venko's home. They are so kind and make you feel like a valued member of the team. Even got to attend a motorbike festival with them and a family dinner ❤️ It's easy work to complete after such a wonderful brekky and help is on hand should you need. Afternoons are yours to enjoy by bike, foot or paddle board on the lake. I feel so refreshed after such a peaceful and happy three weeks with everyone. I had the best time at the guest house! Marie and her family are incredibly kind people. They are fun, easy going, very generous, and were always available if anything came up. The work was straightforward and I had a lot of down time to explore the beautiful area. 10/10 would recommend and I really hope to return one day!!

I loved volunteering with the guest house! You will be in a truly beautiful place with the lake to swim in, walks and hikes nearby, and mountains surrounding you. The family is welcoming, hospitable and clear about the work required. The volunteer quarters are in the basement so it's spacious but dark and basic - this wasn't a problem for me but good to know. I sat upstairs a lot in the common areas of the guesthouse which were peaceful and beautiful. I enjoyed doing the housekeeping - you will receive direct critique if something is wrong, but this makes the work clear to follow.

I stayed as their yoga teacher during the summer and it was a fantastic experience!
Marie, Yolina and Venko are incredibly kind and warm-hearted people and welcomed me with open arms from the very first moment.
They gave me a lot of freedom with my classes and were always very supportive.
What made my time here truly special was the other wonderful volunteers! We were usually a group of 4-5 people and shared a living area in the basement.
The hotel is located in a cute little village surrounded by stunning nature, perfect for hiking or going to the lake.

I spent the month of August volunteering there and had a really nice experience with Marie and her family. They were kind and welcoming, and I really enjoyed my time with them!
As volunteers, you get the breakfast free (delicious) and a private space in the hotel basement. It takes a few days to adjust, but you quickly find your routine and feel comfortable.
The location is beautiful and very close to the lake, a great spot if you want to slow down!

I had an amazing time at the guest house - the surrounding area is insanely beautiful and there is so much to do. This is perfect for nature lovers who would love paddleboarding on the lake, going on hikes and cycling around! I made friends for life here and I will never forget this experience :)

This was my 2nd time volunteering and I'm very glad I did it. I felt very comfortable with the host and other volunteers, and believe getting close with the other volunteers helped tie the experience altogether. Marie and her family were very warm and accepting of me- I'm sure I will visit them again. This village is truly beautiful and unforgettable. If you enjoy relaxing by the lake, taking hikes, and living very peacefully, then this is the best place to do so :)
