This was my first volunteer experience in Worldpackers and I couldn't choose a better place! The owner and the team were so friendly and welcoming from the beginning, helping you every time you need. Is by far the best hostel in Kuala Lumpur, full of international travellers and with tons of activities. The work is simple and they help you every time you need. Helping at the bar, with the tours or events. You just have to bring a nice attitude to create a cool atmosphere! Also, there is coffee in the morning and lunch made in house. I highly recommend the hostel!

I came to KL in general because it was the cheapest flight from Indonesia, But I stay because of my experience here. Volunteering here doesn't feel like work and it's not overwhelming either. KL I think is overlooked by quite a few travellers but the hostel does an amazing job at keeping the experience fun and engaging for both staff and visitors. Some of the perks volunteering here is the free accommodation, the free meal every single day, if you take guests out on an activity you will be reimbursed, the skills you're taught aren't daunting but rather self growth professional and much more

I have had such an incredible experience volunteering at the hostel (specifically Manor Hostel!!). They are all fantastic hostels geared towards creating a community of new friends (whether that be dinners, yoga, aqua aerobics, exploring waterfalls etc.). I had a mixture of roles involving front desk & events which meant I got to meet so many cool new friends and explore the city with them. The hosts really go out of their way to make you feel right at home, ensuring that you get to experience the real culture and cuisines of Malaysia. I would highly recommend volunteering here <3

It was truly a special experience that I'll always remember. During my time at the hostel I learned so much, met incredible people, and had the privilege of being part of an amazing and supportive team. Sinleong is an outstanding host. He always puts people first, and his main priority was making sure volunteers enjoyed their experience while creating a great atmosphere for guests. He was also very flexible with shifts and time off. The role could be quite busy, especially when I first arrived, but thanks to the wonderful team, it never felt overwhelming.

I am incredibly grateful to this place for offering such a unique experience. Interacting with so many people significantly improved my social skills. The team is exceptionally kind, always ready to help, and makes work truly enjoyable. Additionally, the provided meals are excellent and nutritious. The manager is highly understanding and flexible, and the accommodations are deeply comfortable, allowing ample free time to explore the city. This has been one of the best volunteering experiences

The hostel is the best hostel in Kuala Lumpur! You feel like at home there and all the people working there are like family for you. I stayed there as a guest and I came back to volunteer. It was intense, but very productive and I met many amazing people during my stay. Every day you do something different, there are different events every day, so You never get bored. It is a social hostel, but not a party one. You get a free coffee and lunch every day and You can participate in all the events, even if it is not your shift. I honestly recommend the hostel as a place to volunteer!

I volunteered at the hostel for 1 month. The job is purely social - you're running events, but they're very well orchestrated, and they try to have multiple volunteers, so you won't be running them alone. I definitely grew as a person by virtue of my time here. It threw me out of my comfort zone, had me leading tours, hosting dinners, and running bar crawls. The sense of community there was palpable, and that's basically your job - getting to know the guests, hear their stories, give them free drinks, and show them around town. It's not a desk job. I wasn't productive. But it was very fun.
