What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Program Details

KIN Co-Living is a women-only community home in Rio Vermelho, Salvador, created to bring together women from different countries and backgrounds through community, cultural exchange, travel, and connection.

As a House Manager & Community Partner, you will help with the daily organization of the house, support our residents and guests, and participate in cultural activities and community events. This is a 6-month or less experience designed for someone who wants to become an active part of the KIN community while experiencing Salvador and Afro-Brazilian culture.

Food Support

In addition to free accommodation, KIN will provide a food allowance every two weeks to help cover your groceries and basic food expenses during your stay.

The allowance will be provided biweekly, so you can use it to purchase the food and groceries that best fit your preferences and dietary needs.


Activities & Shift

The commitment is approximately 21 hours per week:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Some Thursday morning hours may be moved to the evening to support the KIN Language Exchange.
Occasional weekend events may be requested with advance notice.

Main activities include:

Helping maintain, Clean and organize the house
Supporting guest check-ins and check-outs (Once or Twice Max a Month)
Welcoming and assisting residents
Helping with communication between residents, guests, and the KIN team
Supporting social media, website, and content projects
Helping organize community and cultural activities
Supporting the weekly KIN Language Exchange
Assisting with group experiences and activities when needed

Some group-trip planning and additional projects may be offered as separately paid work.

Follow the agreed work schedule and communicate in advance if you are unable to complete a scheduled shift.
Be responsible for your private room and shared spaces.

Respect the women-only nature and community guidelines of KIN.
Do not share private information, photos, or content involving residents without their permission.
Follow KIN's house guidelines and communicate any problems or maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when representing KIN with guests, partners, and the wider community.
