Moray is a magical place. I am sincerely grateful for the slice of life I've shared with Ruth and Roxy at the cottages in rural Scotland! Every day is different, the tasks are varied and there are exciting activities to pursue after wrapping up work. What a wonderful place to volunteer! This was my first world packers experience and it has set my expectations very high! Ruth and Roxy are so welcoming and generous. I felt supported, nourished and present during my time at the guest house. Ruth's dedication to prioritise our experience was incredible. She took us out to see surrounding towns and landmarks as well as engaging in community activities such as the stramash and spending time at the leisure centre. The atmosphere truly is spectacular and I am so grateful for the experience!

I am so grateful that my first volunteering experience was with Ruth and Roxy. Ruth is such a kind and warm-hearted that you immediately feel at home with her. And on top of that, she makes the best healthy meals! And Roxy is just the fluffiest dog ever 🥹. Ruth showed me so many beautiful places around the Highlands, and not even the rain could stop us from exploring the area together. I'm really grateful that I got to meet another volunteer. It was so nice to spend time together and learn from each other's cultures. I especially loved exchanging and cooking our traditional food! 🍲

The time I spent with Ruth and Roxy was amazing. As she says, this is an exchange experience for both, but you have to work hard to earn things. Ruth is an incredible woman, you can see her dedication to making your stay enjoyable, as well as visiting wonderful places of Scotland. When being in a foreign and unknown place, it is really difficult to feel you belong in it, but Ruth's welcomeness makes you feel like home. I am grateful I took part in this experience, not only to help but also to grow as a person. I can't express with words how thankful I am, this will always be a part of me <3

The guest house was an absolutely gorgeous place to stay, and Ruth's home was really welcoming. I had a really good time getting to know Ruth and Roxy and I could feel Ruth's passion for the area, we got to see so much. I really enjoyed my time with Ruth and Roxi! The place is amazing and Ruth is such a kind person. The tasks were varied from day to day with cleaning the cottages being a recurring one. She has showed me so much of Scotland and really wants the best for her volunteers. We had some water problems along the way, but Ruth found a great solution that only resulted in more good experiences for me. I cannot recommend this place enough. I really loved this experience. Ruth is very welcoming and nice person. We worked about 5 hours per day. Some of the tasks were a bit difficult than others, sometimes it needed physical strength, so if you planing to go here, be prepared for all kinds of tasks, because it really depends on what needs to be done at that time. Over all I loved all the trips that Ruth has taken us, I'm really grateful for that 💚 I loved that I got to see so many parts of Scotland during my time here. Thank you so much!

I had an incredible time at Ruth's house, I felt very welcomed and comfortable for the duration of my stay. This was my first volunteer experience, and I had a wonderful time with Ruth and her dog Roxy. The work tasks were clear and besides cleaning the cottages they depended on what needed to be done at the time. Ruth was very kind and good at taking consideration to what you wish to do during your spare time there. She was also flexible and made the best out of any situation. I really recommend this place if you love nature and want to see what it's like on the beautiful Scottish countryside. The views were truly breathtaking. Thank you so much Ruth:)
