Olive Harvest Experience near Mostar

Join us for a meaningful olive harvest experience at our peaceful olive farm near Mostar. This position is for volunteers who would like to experience a simple, natural, and community-oriented way of life during one of the most beautiful and important seasons of the year for our farm.

The olive harvest usually takes place in October and November. During this time, the farm becomes more active and full of life, so we welcome more volunteers to share this special period with us. The work may include helping with the olive harvest, simple tasks in the olive grove, preparing or organizing harvest materials, helping around the farm, and sometimes assisting with simple daily tasks connected to the harvest season.

Previous experience with farm work or harvesting is not required. What matters most to us is a responsible attitude, openness to learning, and willingness to take part in the daily rhythm of the harvest. The work is simple, but for people who are not used to physical work, the first days can feel a little challenging. From our experience, the body often needs some time to adjust to outdoor work, movement, and a different daily rhythm. With patience and a positive attitude, most volunteers soon find their own pace.

More than an Olive Harvest

During the 2026 olive harvest season, we are also preparing a series of special weekly programs designed to complement the experience of working in nature. Volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in these activities, depending on their interests and availability.

The programs will explore three different areas of life:

12–16 October – Spirituality Week
A week dedicated primarily to Christian and Catholic spirituality, reflection, prayer, silence, and deeper questions about faith and life.

19–23 October – Psychology & Personal Development Week
A week focused on self-awareness, relationships, emotional life, personal growth, and discovering new ways of understanding ourselves and others.

26–30 October – Physical Health Week
A week dedicated to the body and healthy living, with activities and conversations related to movement, fitness, nutrition, and caring for our physical well-being.

These programs are intended to create a balance between physical work, personal reflection, learning, and community. Participation is optional, but we warmly invite volunteers to join us and make their harvest experience even richer.

Our place is peaceful, quiet, and close to nature. It is a good fit for volunteers who would like to slow down, spend time in a calm environment, reconnect with themselves, and experience a different rhythm of life. At the same time, the olive harvest is also a joyful season for us. During this period, there are moments of community, shared meals, conversation, laughter, and sometimes even singing together while working or spending time as a group.

We value community, respect, cleanliness, quiet time, and simple shared living. This experience can be a beautiful opportunity to learn something new, spend time in nature, meet people from different cultures, and be part of a real olive harvest season in Herzegovina.

We hope that volunteers will leave not only with new practical skills, but also with meaningful memories and a deeper connection to nature, people, and the simple beauty of rural life.

Activities & Shift

During the olive harvest season (usually October–November), volunteers help us in the olive grove and around the harvest process. Activities may include harvesting olives, collecting and sorting, carrying small crates, keeping the working area tidy, and supporting the group with simple tasks during the day.
The schedule depends on weather conditions and the daily plan, and we always organize the work step by step, as a team.

Rules

We ask all volunteers to respect the peaceful atmosphere of the place, the people around them, and the shared spaces. Cleanliness, responsibility and mutual respect are very important to us.
This is a calm, nature-based experience focused on community, meaningful work and enjoying the harvest season — not a party environment. We appreciate a friendly attitude, cooperation, and a spirit of kindness.
