This was a special experience for me. There were lesser kids than I used to. It's hard to describe this feeling when you look at their curious and happy eyes, so I recommend you to experience it yourself. I was a little concerned about the previous reviews that have left ladies from Kenya. But there was not a big deal about the religion. Yes, they pray to Jesus like 10 minutes before going to bed and 10 seconds before every meal. So what? It's not like they force you to do it with them 🤷🏽‍♂️

I appreciated the chance to spend time with the children and support some of their activities during my stay. The kids are wonderful.
I would recommend that future volunteers ask detailed questions about religious expectations and house culture in advance to ensure the placement is the right fit for them.
The environment is strongly centered around Christianity, and alignment with Christian beliefs and certain appearance expectations seems to be expected from volunteers.

We stayed at the project and enjoyed spending time with the children, who are warm and welcoming. However, future visitors should know that the home is strongly faith-based, and religious practices are a central and expected part of daily life. There appears to be limited openness toward differing beliefs or identities, so it's important to clarify expectations beforehand to ensure the environment aligns with your values and comfort level.
