This was my first solo trip, and I'm so happy I chose the hostel to volunteer at. From the moment you arrive, you instantly feel part of the community. Kiban really makes this happen, he's super easygoing and flexible with shifts, which makes everything feel relaxed. The workload is pretty chill, mostly reception and some cleaning, so you still have lots of time to enjoy everything. There's always something going on each night, so you'll never get bored. The place itself is amazing, but honestly the people are what makes the hostel so special. I 100% recommend volunteering here! ;)

My experience in Samara and at the hostel was fantastic. Kiban is a welcoming and flexible host. The hostel's atmosphere allows you to meet travelers from all over the world, as well as locals. There are activities almost every night! Work schedules are shared among the volunteers, and the tasks are simple (reception, cleaning, and promoting activities). I worked four hours a day and had all my free time to go to the beach, surf, play volleyball, explore the surrounding area, and so on. I highly recommend this volunteer opportunity!

Wonderful experience! Samara offers the perfect balance between tranquility, hospitality and fun: there’s always a bit of party when you look for it, but also the ideal peace to relax. The host is super flexible with the work shifts, which are decided among the volunteers… The spaces of the hostel are large, wide and thought out very well for sharing. The atmosphere that you breathe is super friendly and sociable: it’s really easy to make friends and feel at home from the very first day. Highly recommended!!!!

One of my best experiences in Costa Rica! The hostel is in the heart of Sámara with everything nearby, including the beach. Regarding work, shifts are distributed at 4 hours per day among the volunteers present. Kiban lets us arrange among ourselves to choose what suits us best according to the activities we have planned. It's a great place to meet people and blend into local life, because the hostel and the bar next door are meeting places for everyone in Sámara. Between the setting and the encounters made here, it was hard to leave!!

It really was a beautiful experience; Samara is a small town but with a big soul that grabs you and makes it hard to leave. As for the hostel, everything is amazing; the work is easy and manageable, but above all Kiban is a sweetheart, always looking to help and find new things to do, Mery is also super lovely and always there for you
