Dina and everyone in the home were amazing throughout my whole stay. From the very first day, they were all incredibly welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. They put so much effort into letting me try local food and helping me understand what it's like to live in Alexandria. I honestly can't recommend these people enough. The event that I helped run wasn't difficult to organise because everyone from the home was so kind and already had lots of ideas about what they wanted to do. Overall, I think it's an amazing place to stay and get involved in the home.

Having you with us and seeing you get involved, experience Alexandria, try local food, and connect with everyone was such a pleasure. We’re also really happy that you enjoyed helping with the event and felt supported by the community.

You’ll always be a part of the Mandala family, and we hope to see you again in Alexandria someday! 🌿✨

I have had a great experience with Ms. Dina. She has built a lovely the home with whom I met and spent amazing time, talking, sharing knowledge and experiencing local culture. I also took part in teaching English and Turkish languages to both young and adult learners.

I have done many projects with worldpackers before and this has been a very unique one. There's one volunteer that can go at a time and you stay in Dina's house with her mum and her cute cat. The house is a bit old, so many things may not work like expected. It needs a lot of learning and flexibility. I couldn't use the kitchen for cooking, because it's a bit complex, but depends on the person. The project itself also wasn't what I expected. the home is more about cultural events and less about language. Despite that, I had fun hosting the projects :)

It is a good experience to interact with locals and learn about their culture and, in turn, to help them practice English and Spanish, as in my own case. Dina is a very kind, creative person full of dreams that I know she will fulfill in the future. I am glad to be part of this community in Egypt and soon in the rest of the world :)
