I can say that my one-month journey at the hostel was almost perfect. I made great friendships with both other Worldpackers and the hostel staff. The working hours were consistent with the listing, leaving plenty of time to explore during the day. Being close to neighboring countries and cities, as well as right next to the central train station (Hbf), is a huge advantage for traveling comfortably. The job descriptions were clear, and communication with my teammates was friendly and straightforward. I highly recommend it to everyone

My experience at the hostel was one of the best times of my life! I really enjoyed every part of it. The work was not bad and I often had fun while doing it. The staff are all such lovely people, not only to work with but also to hang out with. The hostel is right by the Hbf, so it was very easy to go see nearby cities. After work, I'd often take a short train ride to Köln or Düsseldorf, or just explore the beautiful city of Aachen. On days off, I'd make longer day trips, such as to Münster or Maastricht. Thank you to the staff and Worldpackers I met here for making this the best time ever!

The assigned tasks were easy to understand and complete, and since they were done in the morning, I had the whole afternoon free to go out and discover new places.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I can say that I spent a great time in Aachen. It is a beautiful city and the hostel team is super kind. The work was very manageable and we could ask questions at any time. It was a pleasure to work with and learn from Mitchell and other more experienced volunteers. I had enough free time to get to know the city deeply, make friends from all around the world, and attend to personal duties. On weekends, I also had time to travel to nearby cities such as Liege, Maastricht, and Dusseldorf. Thanks a lot to everybody for this amazing experience!

The hours and tasks are reasonable, you will have a lot of fun and learn a lot by painting and working closely with Micha and the volunteers 🎨 the reception is always welcoming and professional when Markus is there 😌 Facility close to the train station, therfore easy to travel around and visit the surroundings on your free time. Overall you won't regret your choice with the hostel.

I had a very good experience during my volunteering at the hostel. Painting a landscape inspired by Aachen. It was a very nice and creative project, and I'm really happy with how the final result turned out. The hostel is calm, very central, and overall a comfortable place to stay and work. I would be happy to come back in the future and continue collaborating with the hostel!
