My experience at the inn was really incredible. I am super grateful to Mel and Diego for having welcomed us with so much affection and empathy. Suri is a sweetheart and Benito, the little dog, is simply beautiful 🥹❤️. They made us feel like part of the family, included us in everything, shared meals with us and were always looking after that we were okay. I could not have had a better experience arriving in Brazil for the first time. I would highly recommend this place FULL, FULL, FULL. I am taking away beautiful memories and a lot of affection from everyone. 🇧🇷❤️

It was a great experience, to tell the truth it was the best month of my life, I really liked the guesthouse and, especially, the people there, Diego and Melina are angels 🙏🏻, their little daughter as well. I am leaving only because I need to continue traveling, but it is a place you never want to leave, ever. I believe I will carry their friendship with me for all my life ❤️🙏🏻

We had an amazing experience with Diego and Melina. They were extremely attentive, kind, and always concerned about our well-being. Their daughter, Suri, is an amazing, creative, and very special girl. The place where we stayed met all our needs; they were very flexible with the schedules and always willing to help us with whatever we needed. If we could, we would have stayed longer. We also connected with the place and with the local community. It was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend it.

It was a beautiful experience at Solar del Mar. Melina and Diego are generous, open hosts and make the exchange very light and genuine. Sury, who is their daughter, is a sweetheart, and if you speak Portuguese you'll have moments filled with funny stories. It was also a pleasure to share the days with Gotinhas and Benito, who make the house even more special. Praia do Rosa is fascinating, surrounded by nature, beaches and incredible waterfalls. The accommodations are great and the common spaces are spacious, creating a welcoming environment to live and share. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who wants to have an experience in nature.

My experience at the inn was wonderful. Diego, Meli, Suri, together with Gotinhas and Benito, their animals, are a beautiful family. The breakfast is delicious, the inn is next to the town center, and very close to the sea via a beautiful trail. They are super flexible and open with the volunteers and it was a very fair exchange. It was a very happy experience, enjoy it, I felt at home, we shared dinners and unforgettable moments. I recommend you apply to this experience because it is well worth it :)

It was supposed to be three weeks, but I had to leave early due to saltpetre problems in the room (health hazard). Therefore, I think the place isn't ready to host volunteers, unfortunately. Aside from that, everything went well with Melina and her husband: they are Argentinians, 35 years old and kind, with very interesting conversations. They have a daughter. So in a short time, I believe it will be lovely to stay longer. The city is perfect for practicing Spanish.
I was supposed to stay three weeks but left after two days: the flat was full of salpeter (damages health). Apart from this, Melina is nice.

We are very sorry about your negative experience. The space seems suitable for other volunteers who are now staying there; we have installed a dehumidifier and the ventilation turned out well. Based on our first experience with you, we sent photos to the volunteers about the space. We felt it wasn’t a good space for you since you wanted to learn cooking and language, and you didn’t like the space provided. We need help with cleaning tasks and breakfast. Good luck
