Program Details

We are a family consisting of:

Single mum, Birgitte, (47) who has fatigue after cancer, and skeletal/tissue health problems.
Son, Olav, (21) who is a software programming trainee - ready to leave abroad for Workaway/Worldpackers experience.

Son, Adam, (10) who loves sports, nature and animals.

Our goal is to manage to keep both our current house, as well as the main farm house. So we are moving into the main farm house as soon as we can. Where we will rebuild the kitchen, modernize one of the two bathrooms, do maintenance and insulation. At the same time, we have some urgent need to take down quite a bit of trees. So we need helping hands to remove branches, and make the surroundings look more like in the days where Birgitte's great grandfather was in charge of the garden. We have a small cattery, so we are in need of a safe enclosure, as we are about to purchase a new breeding cat. All in all, a lot to do that requires muscles. And exchange is a wonderful way of learning and sharing experiences and joyful moments! So we hope to have someone who is up for helping out with some of the tasks ahead!

Activities & Shift

We are flexible on timings. It's up to you if you prefer a fixed schedule or not.

Rules

No smoking, due to allergy.
Pets may be permitted if they are kind to our cats.
The kitchen is always open if you need something extra to eat. Yet, it's nice if you use headphones after bedtime, and keep unplanned video calls to your room or outdoors.
If you go somewhere on your own, we like to know where you go, in case you need us. We consider you family, which means it's important to look after one another.
Our cats love attention and cuddling, yet they prefer a gentle hand and soft voice.
