Program Details

Tukula" means growth. At Tukula Children’s Foundation, we believe that a healthy child starts with healthy soil. As part of our Nutritional Pillar, our community garden provides fresh food for our children and serves as a living classroom. We are looking for nature lovers to help us refine our "farm-to-school" initiative as we expand into new communities!

What You Will Do (The 2-Hour Impact):
Because we only ask for 2 hours a day, we focus on focused, high-impact tasks. You will:

Garden Mentorship: Work alongside our local team to plant, weed, and harvest local staples (dodo, beans, and vegetables).

Sustainability Projects: Help us implement simple eco-friendly ideas like composting, organic pest control, or creative irrigation.

The Living Classroom: Spend time showing the children how to care for plants, fostering a love for nature in the next generation.

Eco-Expansion: Help us prep the soil and plan the layout for our new garden plots in our second community.

Activities & Shift

Shift: Only 2hours per day.

Weekends: 3days of per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

The role is designed for those who want to contribute meaningfully while having plenty of time for remote work, reading or deep cultural immersion.

Fees & Contribution:
As a grassroots NGO, we do not receive government funding. We ask for a $15/day contribution. This ensures you are provided with three high-quality, local meals daily, safe housing, and it directly funds the seeds and tools needed for our garden expansion.
