I feel so lucky to be able to experience my first volunteering at the shelter, with Mill, Rose, and Uttama. Firstly, Mill is a wonderful host. I felt so welcome from the first minute, and he did everything he could to accommodate me in the best way, while also showing me a lot of Thai culture. We had the best talks. His sister Rose is so sweet and such an amazing cook. Uttama was so fun to work with, even though we don't speak the same language. the shelter is beautiful, and the animals are so sweet and very well taken care of. This is my second time volunteering here. It's always such a pleasure to work in this environment, and the food is always delicious. Mill is always eager to introduce you to new facets of Thai culture. Songkran is always so much fun, and the animals are always so adorable. I highly recommend this volunteer opportunity if you want a unique and immersive experience in Thai culture!

She completes all assigned work and often does more than expected. She is highly responsible, enthusiastic, and pays excellent attention to her work.

Best project I have ever been, Mill is an amazing host, not only for providing all the attention a volunteer might need, but for going miles ahead of what a project looks like From day one I felt welcomed, to the point that we didn't even start working on the field as there was a Buddhist ceremony with hundreds of people in the outskirts of a nearby city, which meant I got to see the real deal! The animals he cares so much for, the mermerizing nature around, the breathtaking sunsets, I don't have enough space here to write down everything... And the food! Mill is a MasterChef!

Diago is a very hardworking and dedicated volunteer. He is punctual and always puts full effort into every task assigned to him. Sometimes, we even have to tell him to take a break due to the hot daytime weather.
We communicate well and share ideas to improve things together. Our relationship feels more like friends—there hasn’t been a single day where we felt uncomfortable. I hope he will come back again so we can continue contributing to society together.

Mal was a lovely host and his sister rose always prepared the most amazing meals. Some of the best food I've had in Thailand. Hours and work are not challenging and you're making an impact with locals which is lovely. It is very difficult mentally to witness the animals raised and cared for in very different way to England / Europe so this is something to bear in mind if your an the shelter lover. It is a very rural place with not much to explore locally so be prepared for that, mal will happily take you to the local shop and to lovely restaurants for Thai food but otherwise your time is at farm

Mill is such a kind guy. He was always caring about us and the tasks were never to difficult or exhausting. Also his food… absolutely delicious !!! He showed us a lot of local food and the culture. Because of his good english skills he answered all of our questions. Also the animals are safed from the slaughter and live happily. All in all I would definitely recommend to stay at his the shelter.

Mill is a cheerful and caring host who goes above and beyond to help, even beyond farm tasks. He made sure we experienced authentic Thai culture working in rice fields, sharing meals with locals, and meditating with a monk. Communication was easy thanks to his great English.
Songkran, who takes care of the animals, is hardworking and always in a good mood. Despite the language barrier, he made a real effort to connect.
The animals are well cared for. I was happy to see how they care rescuing them from slaughter and giving them a peaceful, longer life.
