Program Details

Good Mothers CBO is a grassroots community initiative based in Nairobi supporting vulnerable mothers and children through education, mentorship, and digital empowerment. Our volunteer program is built on cultural exchange, collaboration, and mutual learning.

Volunteers join us to support beginner coding and digital literacy classes for children with limited access to technology. The program is co-creative: volunteers work alongside our local team to design simple, age-appropriate lessons using beginner-friendly tools such as Scratch, basic HTML, typing programs, and digital creativity platforms.

We operate in a small, community-based learning space with donated computers. Volunteers are not expected to replace professional teachers but to mentor, guide, and inspire learners while respecting our community values.

The experience combines teaching, mentorship, cultural exchange, and community engagement. Volunteers become part of our daily activities and are encouraged to share their skills, ideas, and culture in a respectful and inclusive way.
