I stayed a month at Julie and Glynn's farm and it was an amazing experience!
We worked only in the mornings with some breaks.
I enjoyed my stay even more thanks to the dogs, they are all so sweet! They each have their own personality, and they are all special in their own way. We spent a lot of time playing with them and brushing them.
Julie and Glynn were always nice and had a lot of stories to share, they took us to the beach, the lake, and shopping if we needed something. They made me feel very comfortable during my stay.

I spent one month with Glynn and Julie, and had a really awesome time helping at their farm!
The work hours are fair and with many breaks, and I appreciated the variety of tasks.
I had fun feeding and caring for all the animals :)
The surrounding area is really peaceful and pretty, loved the nature!
On the weekends, Glynn and Julie took the time to show us around the area a bit, it was really nice!
And of course I'm going to miss the dogs! Loved going on walks with them, and it was so cute to meet Lua and see her fit in with the rest of the group!

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I couldn't have wished for a better host. Julie and Glynn are so lovely, and it was amazing getting to know them. They always honor and respect the agreed work hours, and they work alongside the volunteers every day as well, which makes the experience feel very collaborative. I had a lot of fun simply talking with them and hearing all of their stories. I would recommend this opportunity to anyone and would happily return one day myself. All the dogs make it even better :)

Cara is a very nice person, she arrived on time, she kept us informed of her journey.
She was energetic, enthusiastic and a good team player who just got stuck in with each task given. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Our dogs loved her as much as she loved them.
She came with the attitude of helping as much as she could and she did it willingly and with enthusiasm.
We miss her already and extend an invite for her to come again. Thank you Cara. It was a pleasure to meet you.

Me and my bf spent two weeks with Glynn and Julie! They are such lovely hosts :) The work is fair and shared evenly with all the volunteers ! The food is amazing with many breaks throughout the work day. On our days off they took us to the lake and the beach which were both super cute! We both enjoyed our time and will miss their dogs as well🐕 We would recommend them to anyone wanting to experience farm life in Portugal 💓

Staying with Julie and Glynn was incredible. Both are warm, easy to talk to, and full of great stories. Glynn especially was happy to answer my questions about the farm and animals. The 7 dogs are all unique, Tika and Jack were favourites. Work was solid and enjoyable, feeding Winston the pig and the chickens, driving the Polaris. Eating meals together daily was special. Julie even helped me bake a birthday cake for my girlfriend Kiara. We loved it so much we stayed an extra 2 weeks. Perfect first Worldpackers experience, couldn't ask for better hosts :)

Yakub is a very enthusiastic young man who did all of his tasks with great enthusiasm.
Even jobs that he had never done before. He loved to go out for walks with our dogs.
He loved being in charge of feeding Winston Pig and the Chickens. He was a good asset to the farm and a very nice and friendly person to be around, a good team player.

I've been staying with my girlfriend at Quinta do Azena for ten days and it has been such an amazing experience of life. If you'll have the chance to work with Julie and Glynn you won't just find two normal hosts, you we'll find a second family you we'll find two really caring and loving people as well as finding two amazing teachers of the art of farming.
The working hours were always respected and the work was split equally among everyone, we had the chance to build a new concrete floor for the sheep house as well as cleaning the green house and feeding chickens, pigs and sheep.

Staying at Glynn and Julie’s farm was our first experience with Worldpackers and we couldn’t have asked for better! They are wonderful people: sociable, welcoming and always kind.
The food was really good. Julie is a great cook and she also gave us the chance to prepare traditional dishes ourselves. The cabin where we stayed was beautiful, perfect for relaxing when we weren’t out exploring the area or going on trips together.
We also really appreciated how the projects were organized: everything was based on teamwork, with Glynn and Julie working with us without rigid roles.

Glynn and Julie hosted me for a month in their house and from the very beginning they welcomed me as a friend and made me feel part of everything. They are two people with hearts of gold both for people and for animals, every experience with them is a new lesson. The work is always done together and is well distributed in the morning with breaks that will allow Glynn and Julie to tell you a lot of anecdotes and stories from their experiences. If you are looking for a safe refuge in nature this is perfect for you, and do not be afraid to feel lonely, 8 very sweet dogs will be your shadow.
