The experience

A key project is planting, maintaining, and harvesting our organically grown garlic. We are also working toward establishing and expanding our food forest which is designed to mimic layers of a natural ecosystem. Building projects are another exciting part of life on the farm, Animal care. Beyond these core areas, there are always general farm odds and ends maintaining fences, fixing vehicles and machinery, assisting with seasonal tasks.

Program Details

Nestled on a unique property bordered on three sides by protected national park and hemmed in by two mountain ranges with no one else in this valley, our farm offers a peaceful and immersive rural escape surrounded by nature. We specialise in growing premium organic garlic and raising cattle while also cultivating an ever developing food forest and sustainable organic gardens that reflect our commitment to healthy living.

Wildlife is abundant here every day of the week, with native species regularly moving through the landscape. A huge array of birds moving seasonally and also the regulars. Alongside our crops and cattle, we care for horses, chickens, and five very friendly dogs who are always happy to welcome visitors.

Our comfortable on-site accommodation includes a cozy caravan featuring a kitchen, shower, toilet, and the water supply is supported by fresh rainwater stored in a concrete tank. A dam sits in front of the caravan, adding to the natural beauty of the setting enticing birds, frogs, wallabies and more. Also with pristine swimming holes just a short walking distance away or drive to incredible spots.

We are continually developing the property, building sheds and look to build cabins to support both farm operations and guest experiences. While there is no mobile reception — allowing you to truly disconnect — WiFi is available around the main house for those who need to stay connected.

Whether you’re visiting for the tranquillity, or the laid back authentic off grid farm experience, our property offers a rare blend of comfort, sustainability, and untouched natural surroundings.

Activities & Shift

🌿 Daily Activities Overview

Our days vary depending on the season and the weather, but a typical day looks like this:

8:00 AM – Start the Day
We begin around 8am with breakfast together and make a plan for the day ahead.

Morning Chores

* Feed the animals
* Walk the dogs

Project Time
We work on the project currently at hand, focusing on farm improvements or other priority tasks.

Lunch Break
We pause for lunch and usually enjoy a fresh banana smoothie and some wholesome food.

Afternoon Work
Depending on the weather:

* Continue working on the main project, or
* Tackle other farm jobs that need attention

If it’s too hot, we may:

* Take a break for a few hours
* Go for a swim, or
* Stay out of the heat and resume work once it cools down
* Or just call it a day if it's too hot

Evening – Family Time
Dinner is shared as a family. It’s a relaxed time to eat together and talk about the day.
