At our ranch we have a lot of building projects and we are always looking to help us maintaining our home und garden. Especially right now, our big parts of our stable got destroyed by the storms in Portugal and there will be a lot of rebuilding work for wich we could need some strong hands! In general we are always looking for people with a passion in building, as we try to make the most of the construction works by ourselves.
32 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
2 days off per week
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

What we offer you: Free accommodation at the ranch or the possibility to sleep in your own Van, a shared bathroom, but single showers, improve your building skills, get to know Portugal and its culture and maybe also a bit of horse work.
We are a couple (age 26-34) from Germany and Mexico, that is running this ranch. We always have some wonderful multicultural Workawayers around that help us. Everybody is welcome!
We also take couples, where one of you has a passion in building and the other has more fun in cooking or painting or in other tasks.
For us it’s important to create an atmosphere in which you can feel like home.

The help we need depends on the Workawayer as there are a lot of projects going on the ranch, but at the moment we mainly need help in (re-)building.
The building tasks are (for example): cut the wood into the right length, grind the wood for furniture, build fences with our wood, platforms for the safari-tents, build stairs, build a pool and many other things. Of course, you can decide which work suits you the best, as we want everybody to grow in their own potential and have fun with what they do.
Of course, these working days and times can change or be changed, as there are some tasks that need to be done full time and others that only need half a day.
