It was a great experience. i stayed with a family of 6 in their farm: the host(Thao), her husband, 3 lovely kids and their grandma. i got to learn a lot about the farm life and as someone who grew up in a big city it was quite fun and interesting for me. the family is very welcoming and the kids are the sweetest. thao prepared lunch & dinner for us every day it was very delicious. they kindly let me use their e-bike to explore around the village in my free time. other villagers were also super nice, friendly and would always come up to me and say hi. highly recommended actual farm experience

Thank you, the farm, for opening your home to me and making me feel like part of your family. I will cherish every experience I had on the farm: the smiles, the lessons, and the joy of sharing and playing with the children. Thank you for all your kindness and the wonderful meals. I will always remember this place with deep gratitude. I highly recommend it; they are a very kind and cheerful family. Namaste. 🙂✌🏾

Thao the Mama's of 3 amazing kids, is an incredible person, always with kidness, and receptive. Their children's are so cute and curious about everything. For sure, I recommend for all volunteers who wants to stay near the nature and community, and live a real life in a farm

I stayed on as a volunteer for about a week.
Communication with the host is easy and effective, but a bit complicated with the rest of the family; however, today's technology can easily solve these issues.
You feel welcomed into the family from day one, and they are always available.
The work varies from teaching English to village classes to cleaning the farm garden.
Highly recommended! The only difficulty is the private spaces, which I found hard to get used to, but if necessary, it is possible to stay in another house. Just ask and talk openly.

If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture truly, this position is for you! Thao and the whole family are super kind. You are gonna live in their home and share the daily routine with them. See how the slow life in the village works. The job is not difficult however it could be a bit monotonic. It's important to note that it can feel a bit lonely sometimes since you will not be able to communicate with the family (except Thao). Also privacy is lacking, there's absolutely no privacy which can be tough sometimes. The kids are adorable.

Thao and her family welcomed us so warmly into their home and the Vietnamese culture with an open heart. We absolutely loved spending time with the kids, helping out on the farm, and doing the house tasks. This is a new volunteering space and they are open to new ideas and to learn. When we arrived it was a struggle to have private space, a schedule of the working time, and to have some time to ourselves. After talking openly we were able to improve this. We would love to return to the farm one day to see it's progress. Thank you for letting us celebrate Tet with you🫶🏼 we wish you the best!!

I spent 1 week at the Farmstay and got to learn a lot about the local culture🙌
I was working at the farm, but also spending time with their 3 kids. they are adorable, but they have a loooot of energy ahah
It was sometimes tricky to have alone time, as the working hours were not necessarily clear for both sides. But after talking to Thao, things got way better!! Just have open communication about your needs🫶.
Thao is a really cool host, and she speaks good English, so spending time with her was awesome. For the rest of the family, google translate is needed, but everyone is really kind😉

We were very warmly welcomed by Tao and his family, with smiles and good humor! The farm is very pretty, and the family is almost self-sufficient in terms of food, which is remarkable. The work on the farm mainly consists of weeding, and twice a day: feeding the chickens and ducks, collecting the eggs and cleaning the bull's pen. However, we did not have any free time or private space. Indeed, we slept with the family in one room, the nights were short, it rained nonstop and the children needed some time.
