I had an unforgettable experience volunteering with the project! Prasenjit & his family welcomed me with open arms. His mom cooked the best Bengali food & treated me like her own family. I learnt a lot in my short time here - permaculture, spirituality, Bengali culture, chess & more. The excursion on the weekend to the city & wetlands left a deep impression. I deeply appreciate the care & time poured into my life, it made me want to contribute more each day. Hours were fair, I had creative freedom & lots of fun each day -we played games & sang in the evening. It was very tough for me to leave!

Volunteering here was such a special and enriching experience. I felt very safe and welcomed by the whole family. I really enjoyed being able to work in the garden, learn from and contribute to sustainable household systems, and discuss the many plans for new regenerative projects. I also got the opportunity to explore beautiful and fascinating places in Kolkata and around West Bengal. This is a great fit for you if you want to lend your creativity and skills to an evolving project, learn a lot about permaculture and India, experience Bengali culture, and don't mind working independently.

I highly recommend everyone to visit this place, Prasenjit is a very intelligent and responsible person, who really cares about the nature and local environment. It was a great time living with his family. His mother is cooking the best local food you can try, and you will really feel like at home after a few days. Also the cats Nano and Mickey are lovely, you will love them!

I want to thank Prasenjit and his family for all the care, kindness and warmth. I really enjoyed staying there , taking care of cats, sharing with the world the importance of the project initiative. The room was spacious and cozy, the food was delicious, authentically Bengali:) The work is usually done individually, so you need to have a high sense of responsibility. The project is at its development stage so there are many things to be incorporated, finished, considered. I wish you luck🙏 Prasenjit, sending big hugs to your parents, hugs to Nano and Micky. Take care❤️🍃

The intoductory program in the project foundation was intense and mind changing. We spent 2 days talking about the benefits of eco living, abundance, being responsible for the nature. Prasenjit explained to us the causes of different steryotypes that foreign people might have about India. We still have lots of things to explore here, so we are very excited!

I'll have this place resonating in my life forever. the project is everything that a WP experience should be: it shifts perspectives and develop you as a person; it connects to the core of human relationships in between volunteer and host; it gives you the real, non polished life of the culture you are inserted; it balances that with fun, trips, games we play together. You get so much more than you give, by a hands-on experience that convinces you it is possible to live environmentally conscious. Prasenjit became a friend for life and an example of truthness. Love is the word ❤️ I'll be back!

I loved my time here so much that I extended my stay to keep helping & learning.
Lieberearth is located in a small, friendly town easily accessible by local train. In January, winter is over, so the weather in West Bengal is great. Sunny days, a little chilly at night.
Prasenjit & his family welcomed me in warmly & I was given a very comfortable place to stay. Meals were homemade, local & healthy!
Permaculture is very important & we discussed it in detail several times. I enjoyed weeding, harvesting & caring for the plants.
I recommend this experience to everyone interested in plants & love!

I volunteered in Lieberearth, staying at the host’s family home, which also works as this sustainability foundation. The place is calm, green, and perfect for a slower, more local experience.

My main task was audiovisual content creation, with flexible hours, and it matched my interests well. The host and family were very welcoming.

Communication can be challenging since the host works in the city during the week and his parents only speak Bengali, but this also creates a deep cultural immersion. A great fit for volunteers interested in sustainability and authentic local living.

An unforgettable experience! Prasenjit Paul and his family were so hospitable, and the Lieberearth project itself is fascinating. As volunteers, we felt truly heard and well taken care of. There are no words to describe the wonderful time we had connecting with nature—it was easily our best time in India. Thank you so much and best wishes!
