Peace House Isonoura Without a doubt, I couldn't have chosen a better place for my first volunteering experience. Peace House Isonoura is a warm, welcoming place full of life and good energy. From the moment you arrive, you're made to feel like part of a family, and that's something truly special. The work is easy to understand and get used to. As the days go by, you naturally become faster and more confident, and a big part of that is thanks to Steve. He's a great manager who takes the time to explain your responsibilities, is always there to answer any questions, and genuinely cares abou

Honestly I couldn't ask for a better first time volunteer experience! It really feels to me that I now have a little family in Isonoura (I'm looking at someone in the comment below :)) Time just flew by so fast when I stayed there and I can't wait to be back and visit everyone again!! The tasks were very manageable and I really enjoyed my time exploring the beach & chatting with everyone living there. Steve was always so considering and really cared about everyone and the hostel environment. He and Emma really made my whole trip so fun and memorable!! <3

The experience was truly wonderful. Steve and Emma are always attentive and make sure everyone feels comfortable and has a great experience. The house is beautiful and just two blocks from the beach. If you want to disconnect from big cities and experience how locals live in a more remote area, I wouldn’t hesitate to apply. The work days were well organized, relaxed, and easy to follow. Highly recommended!

I loved my stay at the guest house and ended up staying there for 1 month.
Really quickly all the stuff members became like a little family to me and I can only recommend working here for a couple of weeks.
A big plus point is how close you are to the beach which allows you to be there all the time:) Also the tasks were easy and I only had to work 3 times a week for a couple of hours.
So all in all a very lovely stay if you're looking for a social time next to the beach! And also listening to Steve playing the piano is magical ✨

I will keep my time at the guest house in precious memory. Steve and Emma are very fun to be around. The environment is super calming and gives you lots of free time. If you need to get out of the busy city and love the beach, this place might be just right for you. 100% recommend. Would love to be back some time. Train station is a 1 minute walk away, nearest beach 2 min, convenience store 15 min, supermarket 25 min (you can take one of the bikes).

I had an amazing time at Peace House Isonoura and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and friendly volunteer experience. The entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Emma and Steve, but also everyone else on the team. It’s also a great place to meet people and the beach is less than a two-minute walk away. I’m already looking forward to coming back someday and hopefully seeing the staff again. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!

Steve and all Isonura staff has been a family in the other side of the world. I loved my time there and I´ll always cherish it. If you have the opportunity to volunteer here, definitely take it , you won't regret it.

The experience at the guest house was very good. Emma and Steve are super chill and always nice chatting with them. If you had any plans, Steve was very helpful to adjust your working schedule . Work is very fair, and social (your always working with other voulenteers) I recommend because you live in a nice and slow area, but always have the option to go to Osaka or Wakayama!
