Program Details
We are a welcoming family running Hotel Wildrose, a small hotel located in the beautiful alpine village of Neukirchen am Großvenediger.
The main purpose of this position is to help our 13-year-old daughter improve her German grammar and confidence. We are looking for someone with strong German skills who enjoys working with teenagers and can make learning engaging through conversation, homework support, and grammar practice in a relaxed and supportive way.
Alongside the language mentoring, we may occasionally ask for light help around the hotel, such as simple housekeeping tasks or helping with breakfast service. The total help is usually around 20–25 hours per week, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the mountains and explore the area.
In exchange we provide free accommodation and meals, a friendly family environment, and the opportunity to experience life in a traditional alpine village. Our area is perfect for people who enjoy nature and outdoor activities, with great hiking and skiing nearby, including Wildkogel Arena and the famous Krimml Waterfalls.
This experience is ideal for someone who speaks German confidently, enjoys helping young people learn, and would like to spend time living in the Austrian Alps while meeting travelers from around the world.
When applying, please tell us a little about your German level and any experience you may have helping others learn languages or working with teenagers. This helps us find the best match for our daughter and ensures the experience is enjoyable for everyone.
We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the mountains!
