Help and support us at GreenArts Farm Stay in Jaisalmer, India.
The experience
My name is Hanif and I welcome you to GreenArts, my small farm homestay in the Thar Desert. I was born in a nearby village and have lived in this region all my life. Since 2014 I have been building this place step by step with my own hands to create a peaceful space where people can experience simple desert life. Here you can relax, enjoy the quiet desert, share meals in our kitchen and feel at home with my family.

What you can expect
As a volunteer you will become part of our family life. You will live and work together with us, share meals, and experience the rhythm of daily life in the desert. You can expect a strong sense of family, many conversations and stories, and the chance to learn about our culture. If you like, you can also learn how we cook traditional local food and help prepare meals in our kitchen.
What we expect
We are looking for open-minded volunteers who enjoy simple living and being part of a family environment. Help is usually a few hours per day with small daily tasks around the place. More important than the work is a positive attitude, respect for our home and culture, and a willingness to share time with the family.
Activities & Shift
Working hours are flexible, but usually in the morning until around 11 and sometimes again in the afternoon. Tasks can include helping in the fields, repairing and decorating the huts, working with wood, and other creative projects around the place. We appreciate volunteers who are open-minded, respectful and happy to be part of our family environment.
Rules
There are not many rules, just respect the culture, don‘t wear shoes in the houses and enjoy the vibe!
