The experience
Our volunteer program is based on cultural exchange and teamwork. Volunteers help with daily hostel operations in exchange for accommodation. We aim to create a friendly, respectful, and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome. We value communication, responsibility, and a positive attitude. Volunteers work agreed hours per week and have free time to explore Abidjan and enjoy their stay. 🌞🌴
What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Night Shift:
Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
Bartending:
Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.
What you get
1 day off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Requirements
Fluent French or Intermediate English
Over 25 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
European Union Passport
United States visa or citizenship

Activities & Shift
Volunteers assist with housekeeping and light hostel tasks. Duties may include cleaning rooms and common areas, changing bed linens, organizing spaces, assisting with check-ins when needed, and helping maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Rules
• Respect guests, staff, and other volunteers
• Be punctual and responsible during shifts
• Keep shared areas clean
• No excessive noise, especially at night
• Inform management in advance if you are unable to attend your shift
• Positive attitude and teamwork are required
In exchange for their help, volunteers receive free accommodation, WiFi access, use of the shared kitchen, and laundry facilities. We also provide a friendly and supportive environment where volunteers can meet travelers from around the world and enjoy a meaningful cultural exchange experience
