The volunteering was just amazing. The place is the most beautiful home I’ve ever had and directly at the beach. You can connect to Natur. The work was very easy and we could choose ourself, where we like to help. There was also good internet. The hostal has 3 friendly dogs and the owners are lovely people (like all the neighbors as well) Highly recommended if you are looking for a unique place where you can feel like home.

I completed my first volunteering at the eco-lodge and it was a very beautiful experience! My tasks mainly involved cleaning, painting and redecorating the place. I was really warmly welcomed. What I especially liked was that my host allowed me to discover real Caribbean life and its culture. I met the neighbors, his friends, and created very beautiful social bonds. I loved this simple, natural and warm lifestyle. The people became real friends and I am already looking forward to going back!

People who are part of the project and the area are kind and helpful.
It is a place away from the village, so it's natural, although the beach has a lot of litter.
Going shopping can be challenging, since you need transportation such as a car or motorcycle to get there. On the other hand, the host can improve their cleanliness and daily order, as well as show interest in preparing and cleaning the volunteers' rooms.

We traveled to the place with the intention of volunteering, but upon arrival we decided not to continue due to the hygiene conditions. Although Felipe was very kind previously, the sleeping space was not prepared: dirty sheets, pillows with dirt, clothes, papers and packaging everywhere. The bathroom was very dirty and full of urine due to a lack of water. The kitchen had rotten food, dirt and cigarette butts. We understand that the project is under construction, but it should guarantee minimum cleanliness and livability conditions before receiving volunteers.

We spent two weeks at Sir Mangle and the experience was certainly unique. The place is spectacular and right in front of the beach but it is clearly under construction and there are frequent problems with water and electricity. Indeed it's not a hostel but a very nice project of a cultural and artistic center under construction, so there are no guests, only volunteers and the owner. The tasks are very calm, mainly keeping the common areas clean and helping to recover the place, it was completely different from what I expected but okay
and they have some dogs that are absolutely lovely!

I really enjoyed getting to know San Bernardo del Viento and this beautiful castle! The place is very quiet and the sunsets were beautiful; I was able to volunteer with a couple and they made it very pleasant! The first days were somewhat confusing, there were problems with the water and the electricity, but they could be resolved. Although I feel that there was a lack of presence from the host. I think the biggest problem was the communication with the person in charge of the place and the duties that changed; I did more cleaning than anything else
