About us

Welcome to Soul Farm, our family home close to the sea in rural Southern Denmark.

We live here with our two young daughters, our dog and bees, surrounded by nature, fields and a constantly evolving collection of ideas and projects.

Soul Farm is both our home and a small hospitality project. We host guests in cabins on the land and experiment with growing food, homemade products, retreats and other creative projects.

Life here is informal, creative and sometimes beautifully chaotic. We are not looking for someone to “save the farm” or spend all day weeding. What would make the biggest difference to us right now is another warm, capable adult in everyday family life.

We especially hope to find someone who genuinely enjoys being around young children and would like to stay long enough to become a familiar, trusted person in their lives.

**activities:**
The help we need

The heart of this position is our two little girls. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys childcare — playing, reading, crafting, exploring outside, being silly and creating little adventures with them.

A typical day might start around 8–8:30, spending 1–2 hours with the girls while we get ready for the day, work or exercise. We usually take over again around lunch and quiet time. On some afternoons we may need another couple of hours of childcare, especially when one of us is working.

Around this, we share normal everyday tasks: preparing food, laundry, tidying, cleaning and occasionally helping with our guest cabins.

We aim for around 25 hours of help per week over five days, with two days off. The exact rhythm can be flexible and we want it to work well for everyone.

If you love gardening, fermentation, cooking, creative projects or making things, there is plenty of space for that too — but children and everyday family life are the priority.

We value initiative enormously. We are happiest with someone who sees what needs doing, feels comfortable taking responsibility and does not need every hour of the day organised for them.

**rules:**
We are specifically looking for someone interested in a longer stay. Three months is our minimum and 3–6 months or longer would be wonderful. Continuity matters especially because the children are at the centre of this position.

Reliability is very important to us. Once we agree on a stay, we organise our family and work around having you here, so good communication and keeping commitments matter.

You will have plenty of independence and free time. We enjoy sharing meals and parts of everyday life, but nobody is expected to spend all their free time with us.

Most of the year we can offer private accommodation in one of our guest cabins with its own bathroom. During the deepest winter months accommodation may instead be in our guest room in the house.

Food and drinks are included and you can use our kitchen or guest kitchen. We have fast Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and can arrange a bicycle. Depending on insurance and driving experience, use of a car may also be possible.

We want this to feel like an exchange between adults: warm, relaxed, honest and respectful.
