The hostel is quite small and might not suit those looking for a party hostel; however, the community was very diverse, and many guests were staying there for a couple of weeks, so I had some great conversations. While it's not directly in the city centre, the hostel is well-connected, and the area is quiet and green. A national park and film centre are nearby. I hope to return someday!

I met so many amazing people and created so many new friendships, not only with the other volunteers but also with the guests. I spent 3 weeks at Nomad Gärdet Hostel and had a great time.
I mainly helped with cleaning rooms/common areas and hosting events and movie nights for guests.
The working hours were very flexible and we had plenty of time to explore Stockholm.
The team was very friendly, always open for questions and I made many new friends.

I loved volunteering at the hostel! The atmosphere was very welcoming from the start. The hostel I was placed in was located in a beautiful green neighbourhood next to a huge park and pretty close to the city centre. They have two other locations, each one having its own benefits to offer. The working hours were very manageable leaving plenty of time to socialise and explore Stockholm. Our on-site manager was really friendly and down to earth, and I managed to make good friends with the other volunteers. Overall I would definitely recommend it! It's an experience to cherish:)

we stay as a couple together and had a wonderful time volunteering at the hostel. We were responsible for the cleaning duties every morning, except on our day off. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, understanding, and always available for anything we needed. Since the shifts were a maximum of 4 hours a day, it gave us plenty of free time to comfortably explore Stockholm. Highly recommended!

It was an incredible experience. I made wonderful friendships, both with the volunteers and the guests. The hostel is located in a safe, green and residential area, 15 minutes from downtown (bus). Marco (the manager) was very helpful to me. The hours worked are respected and the tasks are quite simple (cleaning). I would have liked to have had the opportunity to participate in the events or learn at the reception, but I wasn't scheduled. The room is shared with other volunteers. The only thing I would suggest is that Jasmine (the cleaning supervisor) respect the privacy in the room more and not enter without at least knocking and asking for permission.
