Program Details

In Dec 2013, Minga House Foundation was founded as a facilitator for short-term international volunteers in health careers to have safe & fun learning experiences in beautiful Colombia. Four successful years later in Dec 2017, Minga House Foundation has acquired an abandoned 1980's style mansion on a 25-acre coffee farm as a its second residential facility, but now focused to support of international Veterans and First-Responders who need relief from Combat Trauma or Stress Fatigue and who have the opportunity to serve long-term due to disability or retirement. Once fully renovated, it will be an oasis for relaxation, healing, recovery, and peace! Residents and visitors will experience a calm & beautiful setting as well as be able to experience life-coaching seminars, recreation & cultural activities, a healthy life style, and participation in established volunteering program.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers are expected to work 24 hours per week in exchange for a 7-day free stay. Volunteers agree with the site coordinator what heir duties and/or project will be then they are expected to be in autopilot or working as a team, as the project may dictate.
