Guest services is much more than just a boring reception job. In fact, we prefer having the desk empty and getting you hands on with everything going on in the hostel.
That could include:
Heling the cleaning lady sustain high levels of cleanliness with tasks like keeping the kitchen clean, walking around the house checking everything is in good condition, and guaranteeing we don't run of sheets.
Getting involved with construction work when help is required, no experience required, just positive attitude.
Running and making sure positive inclusion with fun activities and events like cards, hostel group games like celebrity heads, and the occasional family dinners.
Its pretty much playing your favourite music, looking after the people, and having a great hostel experience.
This volunteering position is calculated as 25 hours per week with 2 days off. This is achieved with 5 shifts a week working 4 hours and then getting involved with fun activities and events that boost memories with social experiences with guests.
We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 duck. You must love animals.
We ask that you respect our quiet hours between 11pm - 7am as everyone deserves the right to sleep. There is no curfew, you are welcome to explore the nightlife and come back at anytime.
