I came in as a volunteer and left feeling like a part of the hotel y Mano family! From day one, Lani, Matt, and the rest of the team were so welcoming and kind to me. Each shift was meaningful and with intention. I never felt like I was doing "busy work" nor did I end the day without learning something new. My time was so enjoyable in fact I asked to extend my stay. Highly recommend this experience to other solo female travelers! Muchas gracias y pura vida :)

It was the best experience in Costa Rica. Lani and Matt are very attentive to anything you need. One thing to highlight is that they always seek to share moments and meals, which I liked a lot. They give you plenty of free time, but when it's time to work, everything is focused. Even so, they are always present with the best energy and affection. Honestly, I loved staying at their resort.

It was my first volunteering experience and I loved it. The rooms have air conditioning, a hot shower and they are very comfortable. The tasks do not require much effort and take little time to complete; moreover, they provided us with food and they took care that nothing we lacked. Lani and Matt are the owners, very attentive and flexible, and their daughter Mila is adorable. Potrero is a small town, there is not much to do but it is safe and you can go out to explore other places.
Definitely I would go back to the hotel🫶🏼
