Program Details
At Reserva Acayu, we believe that cultivating the land is also cultivating relationships, awareness and presence.
Our volunteer program arises from the desire to create a living, diverse and regenerative garden, where every person who arrives leaves a little of themselves — and takes with them learnings that go beyond planting.
The proposal is simple and profound: together, prepare the land, sow, care, harvest and share.
The activities include:
– soil preparation and management
– planting vegetables, medicinal herbs and edible plants
– daily care for the garden (watering, management, observation)
– construction of small beds and sustainable solutions
– exchange of knowledge about cultivation, food, and life in the countryside
More than a practical experience, volunteering is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with natural cycles and experience collective care.
We are in a rural area, surrounded by nature, where time moves at another pace — and it is at that pace that we build together.
What we offer:
– simple and welcoming accommodation
– shared meals
– environment of exchange, learning and connection with nature
– possibility to experience other activities on the space, such as clay practices and creative processes
What we expect from volunteers:
– availability to collaborate in garden activities
– respect for the rhythms of nature and of communal life
– openness to learn and share
– care for the space and for people
The garden at Reserva Acayu is more than food production — it is a space of healing, autonomy and reconnection.
If you feel called to put your hands in the earth and live this experience, you will be very welcome."
