Program Details

The Conscious Castle is a retreat center and conscious community in the Belgian countryside. Throughout the year, people come here for retreats, trainings, volunteering, rituals, creativity and meaningful connection.

Your role is to help translate the atmosphere and everyday life of this place into clear, human and visually engaging content.

You will create Instagram Reels, Stories, carousels, photographs, captions and simple promotional materials for retreats and gatherings. During events, you may capture selected moments, spaces and activities. Between events, you will organize footage, edit content, develop ideas and help prepare future publications.

We already have a Brand Book, communication strategy, visual guidelines and content templates. You will be expected to understand and respect them so that everything we publish feels coherent and recognizable.

These guidelines are not designed to restrict your creative freedom. They provide a clear foundation from which you can bring your own perspective, ideas and sensitivity into the project 😌

Because some retreats involve personal, emotional or intimate processes, discretion is essential. Not every moment should become content. You will learn to recognize when to film, when to ask permission and when the most respectful choice is to put the camera away.

*You need at least some experience/knowledge of Canva and Instagram Edits/CapCut.

Activities & Shift

🎥 Filming and photography
Capture the castle, nature, shared meals, volunteers, preparations, community life and approved moments during retreats and gatherings.

✂️ Video editing
Turn raw footage into simple, engaging Reels using CapCut, Instagram Edits or similar video editing tools.

🎨 Graphic design
Create Stories, carousel slides, retreat announcements and other simple visual materials using Canva and our existing brand templates.

✍️ Captions and storytelling
Write clear, warm captions in English that reflect the voice and communication principles of The Conscious Castle.

🗂️ Content organization
Save and organize all raw and edited material in our Google Workspace using the agreed folders, file names and content-planning systems.

💡 Content planning
Contribute ideas while working with the existing strategy, content pillars and publication calendar.

📊 Basic review
Help us notice which formats and stories resonate with the audience and use those insights when creating future content.

⏰ Flexible rhythm
Around 20 hours per week, generally four hours per day with two days off. Some filming may happen during retreat weekends or at specific moments, while editing and planning can be organized more flexibly.
We also hold a 30-minute morning meeting to stay aligned with the team and coordinate the day’s schedule (not included in the 20 hours).

Rules

All content must follow The Conscious Castle Brand Book, communication guidelines and approved visual system.

The Brand Book is here to guide your creativity and keep the identity coherent—not to remove your personal perspective.

We also ask you to:
* Ask for consent before filming identifiable people
* Never film private, intimate or ceremonial moments without explicit approval
* Submit content for approval before publishing it on official channels
* Save all raw footage, editable files and finished content in the agreed Google Workspace folders
* Do not delete, move or privately store project files without agreement
* Use the approved fonts, colors, templates, tone of voice and logo files
* Communicate openly when instructions are unclear or a deadline cannot be met
* Join shared meals when you are at home and feel available, while respecting the occasional need for rest or personal space
* Participate in small community-care tasks

The Conscious Castle is a substance-free home outside specific ceremonial contexts. Smoking in any form, alcohol and recreational or hard drugs are not allowed during everyday community life.

Serious breaches of privacy, consent, trust or shared agreements may result in the stay ending early.
