Program Details

This opportunity is for someone that wants to experience the city life of Berlin for free while not sacrificing nature and a calm surrounding with clean air and yet being close to the bubbly city. We are next to lakes and a small forest with wild ecosystem. House is very well connected to the city via fast S-bahn trains.

The right person for the role will enjow the balance between individually performed practical tasks and communication to flatmates.

We offer a structured home environment in exchange for up to 4 hours a day for 5 days a week. Sundays and Mondays are ideally your days off - but if you have any specific requirements (let's say a long weekend festival to attend or would like to have 3 days off, we can adjust hours on other days once in a while)

The setup is simple: you’ll have accommodation (little fee per week asked) and become part of a small household where everyone contributes to keeping the common areas clean.

We’re looking for someone significantly responsible, dependable, and taking pride in his/her work—someone who takes initiative and appreciates a clean and harmonious home. If you like the idea of contributing to a space while having your own time to explore and relax, this will suit you well.

Activities & Shift

Your tasks will be a mix of practical and social responsibilities, including:

- Some heavy gardening and outdoor maintenance - monthly cutting wood as well (must be comfortable with this task)

- DIY projects like occasional painting, fixing a door lock, screwing some screws.

- Helping keep the house clean and organized by managing a simple cleaning rota

- Greeting Airbnb guests, showing them around (2 min maximum interaction required), and making them feel welcome

The workload is balanced and flexible but with clear expectations so that the contribution is fair to allow plenty of free time to enjoy the area and relax.

Rules

We keep a relaxed but respectful environment, so a few simple rules apply:

Be responsible, reliable, and communicate openly
Respect shared spaces and help keep them clean and tidy
Bathroom should always be towel- and hair-free

Help manage the agreed cleaning rota by checking that flatmates are performing their duties

Be friendly and welcoming to guests

Do not smoke in the house

Do not eat other flatmates food

This is a shared home, so mutual respect and teamwork are essential.
