Program Details
We live on a beautiful 150-year-old historic estate at the foot of the alps. After a personal loss in the family last year, we are currently focusing on reorganizing all and preparíng all for the spring and summer to welcome all our helpers, friends and family.
We invite you to stay with us and participate in our daily life. Come to us, and we appreciate a helping hand with all of our daily life and our projects:
Help us taking care of the animals and help us with our veggie and herb garden, trimming gras, cutting trees, weeding and …... In and around the house we could need a helping hand with cooking, cleaning, sorting, brooming, renovating, etc. We are currently making the spring cleaning after a long hard winter to make the place cozy for our family and guests.
Activities & Shift
We have two male MINI GOATS - Max and Moritz. We rescued them 8 years ago and they are like pets.
Currently we have some SHEEP - at the moment we have 20 lamps and 20 sheep. After a big loss in the family last year we were not able to manage the herd size. Soon we will reduce the herd because there a to many for our place. The sheep we need for cutting the gras (we never used a gras cutter again since we have them) on the property and we keep them as farm animals to have our own meat. We must constantly improve their stables, build more fences etc. We need help with taking care of the animals daily, like feeding hey, changing drinking water, letting them in an out of the stable etc.
We keep BEES since a long time. The amount of hieves is chaninging yearly - At the moment we have again 3 hieves after a big loss last year.
Cilli (2016) and Sasa (2024) our DACHSHOUND ladies, our bad boy FritzTheCat (2023) and 2 WILD CATS (Basbus and Gasgus) live here, too.
Rules
Long-Term prefered: This place is huge. We don't have the time to explain everything for a 3-day stay. We prefer people who want to stay long-term and truly integrate.
Physical Work: You should be strong and enjoy being outside in any weather (sun, rain, or mountain snow).
Collaborative yet Independent: We’ll give you a solid induction and work with you, but we aren't fans of micromanagement. We’re looking for reliable helpers who enjoy team spirit but are equally happy taking ownership of a task and seeing it through to the end on their own.
Are you ready for a rustic adventure with fewer bears and more weeds? We’re looking for respectful, kind souls to help us start this new chapter.
We are also excited to promote cultural exchange and learning opportunities (especially with food and language) for those who are interested!
