House and car for hosting AirBnB guests in Norway
The experience
A year ago I started hosting guests through AirBnB and found it extremely enjoyable. A lot of intersting people from all over the world booked and with many of them I shared good food and good memories.
But this summer I want to take my son biking in Vietnam and I would loove to have someone live in my house and stand in for me doing the AirBnB chores.

Program Details
You stand in for me as an airbnb host. Guest can check in and out by themselves, but I often meet them as I rent out three rooms in the first floor with use of common areas like living rooms, kitchen and terrace.
My house is between the airport and the city center of Bergen. It is a typical suburbian area with mostly residential houses and a few shopping centers. It is a 15 minute walk to the sea. It'a an inlet, so it looks like a lake perhaps.
Public transport to the city center takes about 30 minutes.
Activities & Shift
There isn't much work to do really, it takes me 1,5-2 hours every time guests check out to prepare the rooms for new guests. And if you're two or a couple, this will go faster still. But it was hard to say how many days a week you get off, I imagine you're two and just go with the flow of the bookings. Or decide how you share it between yourself
Some key words
- Communicating with guests on AirBnB
- Greeting guests when they arrive and when you meet them (optional ofc as there is self check in)
- Cleaning and swapping bedsheets and covers
- Cleaning bathroom, bedrooms and common rooms
As I'm planning to holiday with my son I haven't added food, instead you can use my car if you have a manual driver's license. Just fill up the diesel.
And as mentioned, I also have an apartment in town. I was thinking to pay someone to do that one, or pay you if you are interested.
Rules
Common sense I guess. Many guests stay to take early flights the next day so a quiet atmosphere is great.
