Program Details
We offer a tranquil environment, surrounded by nature, where you can disconnect from the pace of the city and connect with new experiences. We strive to create a welcoming, safe, and respectful space for everyone.
Volunteers will receive clear guidance on their tasks and support during their stay. We want this experience to be one of mutual learning, so we are also open to hearing your ideas and knowledge.
Depending on the agreement, we offer accommodation and other basic benefits during the stay. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to get to know Calima Lake, participate in outdoor activities, and connect with people from different cultures.
Our goal is that every volunteer leaves not only with an enriching experience, but also with valuable memories and a sense of real contribution.
Activities & Shift
Activities are focused on caring for the space, supporting visitors, and conserving the natural environment of Calima Lake. Tasks may vary depending on the day, the weather, and the season, but generally include:
Daily activities:
Cleaning and maintenance of common areas (green spaces, shared spaces, lakeshore).
Support in organizing ecological or community activities.
Basic guidance to visitors about site rules and care of the environment.
Collaboration on small improvement projects (signage, gardening, recycling, etc.).
Logistical support at events or special activities (if any).
Shifts:
Work approximately 4 to 5 hours per day.
Shifts are usually organized in the morning (e.g., 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) or in the afternoon (e.g., 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.), depending on needs.
1 or 2 days off per week are offered, agreed in advance.
We seek to maintain flexible and fair schedules, allowing enough time to rest, explore Calima Lake, and enjoy the experience.
Rules
We want the experience to be positive for everyone, so it is important to keep in mind some basic rules of coexistence:
Respect work schedules and the agreements established from the start.
Maintain a good coexistence: respect, communication, and consideration toward other volunteers, hosts, and visitors.
Take care of facilities, tools, and the natural environment.
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption or any behavior that affects the harmony of the place.
Keep shared spaces clean and organized.
Provide advance notice in case of changes, difficulties, or absences.
More than strict rules, we seek conscious, responsible people with a good attitude who understand that this is a space of collaboration and mutual respect.
