I had a wonderful stay with Sara and Pasi. From the first day on the farm I truly felt like a member the farm family. The days were filled with animal care, farm maintenance, fishing, hiking, picking berries, using the sauna and playing card games with their boys. I learned so much about Swedens culture with long talks with Sara and have had very intellectual, deep talks with Pasi. Their children are very fun and easy to get along with. Sara and Pasi have such a positive outlook on life and always are telling jokes and funny stories. This was my first Worldpackers and would highly recommend!

I spent a wonderful time with Sara and Pasi. I felt welcome and I was a part the farm family. I love Sara 's energy and positive mood and Pasi's humor. The work with the animals was fun and I will miss them. Sara made sure that I was all right and that the work fit me. I enjoyed the activities after work like fishing, swimming in the lake or running in the forest. The days were simple and peaceful. I was never bored and the time there went quickly. I recommend this place to everyone who loves nature, time with animals and want to spend some time in Sweden and learn about Swedish culture.

Working with Sara and Pasi has been amazing experience. I truly had a great time, they make you feel safe and really welcome you to their family, getting to know their boys and the animals. I love that they always said “we don't have any problems only solutions,” and they're not kidding about that, the amount of times I thought something was not able to fix. Sara proved me wrong every time. I do hope to come back and visit them in the winter and really enjoy the snow and see how they work with their sled dogs. Like I told them “SEE Y'ALL SOON.”

My time with Sara, Pasi and the kids as well as Bailey was amazing. I loved every second of volunteering here and am so excited to go back in the future. Anyone that can get this opportunity should take it as soon as they can because it really is worth it.

Sara and Pasi's place is an amazing experience to live and be part of. Here, you will help with and learn about many different tasks involving animals, woodwork, and family life. The lovely conversations with Sara, the sauna and working moments with Pasi, and the special moments shared with the kids made this experience truly unforgettable for me. You really going to feel as family and I will miss that. It was a very special time in my life, and I genuinely recommend this experience to anyone looking for something authentic, meaningful, and warm.

This was my second volunteering experience, this time with a Swedish family. I stayed on a farm with a variety of animals—such as chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, and rabbits—which I really enjoyed; I was able to learn how to care for them to ensure their healthy development. The experience differed somewhat from what I had envisioned regarding the huskies, as I didn't get to see them in action, and I had expected my activities to focus more on that aspect. Nevertheless, I take away a positive experience and appreciated the opportunity to learn about Swedish customs and traditions.

People who stays here during the winter can help us to train the dogs and drive sled dogs in the forest.
During the summer we always give food and water to our dogs every day, clean the dog yards and let the dogs run and play in a big dog yard. But the temperature is to warm for them to train. In the late autumn when the days begin to be more cold we begin to train the dogs several days/week. 🙂

Evaluations vary DM me for details. Grateful for unique experiences but organization was poor. Confirmed last July but in final week host accepted 6 guests total. Host singled me out for 12-person dishwashing while others did animal care. When I objected host said: If you can't do it leave. This bait-and-switch is unacceptable; I should have been informed before arrival.
Diet was plain: mostly pasta ketchup sausage with no vegetables.
Host dislikes volunteers sticking to 25hrs/week rule. Respect platform rules or recruit independently. Worldpackers acknowledged my report on this duty shift.

For more then 3 weeks, Kazuma only helped outside with our animals. He mixed up our dogs names, he did not learn how much food to give for the animals and always needed a second person to work with him to make things work. He did not notice his mistakes or what he forgot. After 4 weeks with daily routines, he could still not do things by himself. We tryed to explain for him that since he dont listen and just walks away, maybe it would suit him better to look for another place.

I spent a wonderful month with Sara's lovely family! I can say I found a new way to see everything around me. We enjoyed every sunny day at the lake with the kids. The contact with nature and the animals was unforgettable! Sweden provided me with a unique experience. Every day, we had deep conversations during meals. All the volunteers was friendly and The house was cozy and very welcoming. I just want to thank Sara and Pasi for every experience they provided me.

Staying at Sara and Pasi's farm in northern Sweden was exactly what I didn't know I needed. I instantly felt welcomed—by them, their kind kids, the animals, the quiet nature, and the other volunteers. Days were filled with simple, meaningful moments: husky rides through snowy forests, northern lights, shared meals, and deep conversations. Their home felt warm, safe, and human. I left feeling calmer, more grounded, and grateful—for the memories, the people, and the pause. Thank you.

It is nice to show people this way of living. To find different value in life.
