Giving our children a deep connection with nature is maybe the most important part in changing the future.
You can learn a lot about Forest Pedagogy (non-formal education based on free play and unstructured activities). We use educational materials directly related to nature. Because our project is attended by children of different nationalities, you would have the possibility to get in contact with many different cultures and languages.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

You will be part of a team (always together with at least one main responsable adult), that accompanies children in the age between 2 and 12 years for 6 hours (9:30 - 15:30 or 10:00 - 16:00 - depending on the subgroup) on 4 days (monday to thursday) a week in the forest. You will help the children with handcrafts, physical activities and discovering nature playfully and the young ones with eating and dressing.
You can stay in your own tent or campervan or we can provide a tent. You can use our community house (fully equipped kitchen, toilet, hot shower and laundry). A riverbeach, a swimming pool, some restaurants and one of the most breathtaking castels of portugal in walking distance. We provide food for the whole stay and the families can give you a ride to discover the area (more castles, lakes, mountains, monoliths, waterfalls etc.). You will stay together with other volunteers, so you can spend the free time together or you can enjoy a quiet time in pure nature for yourself - the property is quite huge. There is a watertank on the property that you can jump in for cooling down in the hot summer.
We search for several volunteers for our vacations program from July to mid of september (part time is possible, minimum 2 weeks). You will accompany a group mixed in ages (from 2 up to 12 years old) together with one other volunteer and one or two main responsable adults.
You can also apply for both. For the vacations time we would also accept parents of kids, that want to participate in our program. Ask us for more informations.

We search for people who feel very comfortable in contact with children. Ideally you would already have some experiences in accompanying children.
