Program Details
Bale Nara Lombok, in collaboration with Deep Blue Sea Dive, invites volunteers to join a premium marine conservation residency focused on coral reef restoration around the Gili islands in Sekotong, West Lombok. This experience combines scuba expeditions, storytelling, and social impact travel, where your creative skills directly support marine conservation and local livelihoods.
Volunteers contribute by creating content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and the project website, helping raise global awareness about reef restoration and community-based conservation. Photography, videography, writing, and digital storytelling are central to the program, allowing you to document both underwater restoration work and cultural life in coastal Lombok.
Unlike traditional volunteering, this premium residency includes accommodation in an oceanfront bungalow, offering a unique blend of purpose and comfort. Mornings may involve dive expeditions and coral restoration activities, while afternoons can include editing content, website support, or planning outreach campaigns.
You will also engage with the local community, learn about sustainable marine tourism, and join island expeditions across the Gilis for field documentation. Every contribution supports a broader mission: protecting coral ecosystems while strengthening community-based conservation through responsible tourism.
This program is designed for ocean lovers, photographers, filmmakers, digital storytellers, and impact-driven travelers seeking meaningful adventure with real conservation impact.
