Help us prepare a yurt glamping in Costa de la Luz
The experience
In 2023 Cal and I bought a lovely piece of land in la Costa de la Luz, a stunningly beautiful corner of the world where Europe meets Africa and we need some help with it.
The land is 7000m2 contains 4 Mongolian yurts, a wooden cabin that houses the common kitchen, and toilets.
The land needs constant attention and so do the Yurts.

Welcome to our home between Zahora and Los Caños!
We live in San Ambrosio, in a lovely country house in a small corner of the Costa de la Luz, surrounded by cliffs, pine forests and golden sandy beaches. Life here is relaxed, people are friendly, and sunsets over the sea are an almost daily show. You'll find the Trafalgar Lighthouse, the Breña Natural Park and hidden coves nearby, and beautiful towns like Vejer, Conil and Barbate are just a short trip away.
If you love surfing, you're in the right place: there are waves for every level and several beaches close by, from gentle spots to learn on to more challenging breaks. It's also a wonderful area for walking, cycling along the EuroVelo route, or simply reading a book by the sea. We have surfboards we can lend you, and a bike or two.
The food is incredible too: fresh fish, almadraba tuna, mojama (cured tuna), shrimp fritters, local wines... and there's always a new place to recommend.
What we're looking for: we love having people in our home and sharing everyday life with curious people with good energy. We need your help with the garden, pruning and general maintenance of the house and outdoor areas: looking after the plants, clearing and pruning, small repairs and odd jobs. And of course, you'll have plenty of free time to enjoy the beach, the surf and the little villages.
Where you'll sleep: in a yurt with its own bathroom and kitchen, so you have your own space and privacy.
Please note: we live with a dog and two cats, so unfortunately we can't accept volunteers who travel with dogs.
If you'd like to spend some time by the sea and share it with us, get in touch!
P.S. We're happy to host families and couples :)
