Staff were very friendly. Volunteers are very nice and I was lucky to have an organized team. The volunteer coordinator assigned the tasks by team in the morning. Prepare to get your hands dirty 😂 Definitely bring clothes to get dirty and shoes with good grip that don't slip. It felt very nice to contribute to the shelter care (preparing their food for example).

Okay, let's start off with the more complicated stuff. the shelter is hot and sweaty. There were bugs and rashes (Oh my) But obviously that's not the fault of the facility, just something to keep in mind if you aren't from the climate. The facility was all right. The work was standard (preparing and delivering food for the animals and washing dishes) Where the program really shined was the group of accepting, funny, and great volunteers we had at the time. They made me laugh so hard my sides hurt. They listened to each other and helped each other. I almost didn't want to leave 😭

I had a great time at CRARC!! I met a lot of really cool and interesting people with different stories. The work is reasonable, and the animals are fascinating to work with. Definitely recommend!

Good atmosphere, everyone was very nice, but repetitive work ( prepare the food and place the bowls in the cages, and get ready to pick up dead leaves every day. Unless you're a vet student or Mexican and get along well with the boss you won't go to the clinic; it's the best job ( taking care of injured animals, feeding the babies, etc. ). It would also be necessary to enlarge the cages which are small, especially the birds cannot fly. We feel a bit in the zoo sometimes it's a pity .. too many volunteers for too little work ..
