Program Details

We offer a volunteering experience in a peaceful countryside setting in rural south-west France, surrounded by nature, open space, and a calm daily rhythm.

In exchange for your help, you will have your own private and independent accommodation in a comfortable caravan on the property. It is fully equipped with WiFi, a private shower room, a kitchenette, heating, and a private outdoor space. While simple and compact, it offers everything needed for a comfortable and independent stay close to nature.

We share lunch together at 1:00 pm, which is a relaxed daily moment to connect. Breakfast and dinner are prepared independently in your own space, and we provide all groceries.

The property is located in a rural area, about 5 km from the nearest town. For this reason, a bicycle is available and recommended for daily independence, whether to reach the village, explore the surroundings, or visit local markets. We occasionally help with transport when possible, but volunteers should feel comfortable being self-sufficient in their daily movement.

Outside of helping hours, you are free to organize your time as you wish. We appreciate people who enjoy independence, take initiative, and feel comfortable living at a slower countryside pace.

We aim to create a calm, respectful and easy-going atmosphere, where expectations are clear and daily life is well balanced. This is not a fast-paced or social-hostel environment, but a structured countryside home focused on practical living and mutual respect.

This experience suits someone who enjoys a quiet rural lifestyle, feels comfortable with practical household tasks, and appreciates contributing in a steady and meaningful way while living close to nature.

Activities & Shift

The daily routine is structured but balanced, with most of the help taking place in the morning.

Helping starts at 8:00 am and usually finishes around 1:00 pm, for approximately 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. This leaves your afternoons and evenings free to relax, explore the area, or enjoy the peaceful countryside surroundings.

We usually host two volunteers at the same time, so tasks are shared and done as a team. This helps keep the workload balanced and creates a steady and supportive working rhythm.

Daily tasks focus on maintaining a large countryside home and include:

Cleaning bathrooms (4 in total)
Cleaning and refreshing bedrooms (4 bedrooms)
General cleaning of living spaces and kitchen
Laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen
Keeping common areas tidy and organised

The work is mainly maintenance rather than deep cleaning, as a professional cleaner comes once a week for a more thorough reset of the house.

Tasks are clearly organized so everyone knows what needs to be done, and we work together to keep the house comfortable and well maintained. The work is active and practical, and suits people who enjoy structure, physical activity, and seeing clear results from their work.

We aim to keep a fair and respectful rhythm, with a good balance between contribution, rest, and free time.

Lunch at 1:00 pm is shared together and is a relaxed and friendly moment in the day.

Rules

As part of the property is occasionally used to host guests, we kindly ask volunteers to be mindful of privacy and the overall calm atmosphere of the home.

After helping hours, we generally ask that you enjoy your time in your own private space (the caravan and its garden area). This helps maintain a peaceful environment for everyone. When no guests are staying, there is more flexibility to use the shared outdoor areas.

We also appreciate volunteers who take care of their living space and keep the caravan clean and tidy on a regular basis. It is important to us that the space remains comfortable and pleasant throughout the stay.

A washing machine is available for both caravans. In addition to personal laundry, we kindly ask that bedding and linen provided in the caravan are washed and maintained when needed, so everything stays fresh and well kept.

Overall, we value a respectful and responsible attitude, where everyone contributes to keeping the environment calm, clean, and well maintained.
