Program Details

“A Home Away From Home in Tanzania” is a cultural exchange program designed to bring people together through shared experiences, daily life, and meaningful human connection.
This program offers volunteers the opportunity to experience authentic Tanzanian living—not as a tourist, but as part of a home. You will live with us, share meals, stories, and daily routines, and become part of a warm and welcoming environment.
The main goal of this experience is cultural exchange. We believe that learning happens through connection—by sharing cultures, perspectives, and everyday life. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in light daily activities, support simple tasks around the home, and bring their own ideas, skills, and energy.
This is a relaxed and friendly environment, not a formal job. The focus is on collaboration, respect, and creating a positive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and valued.
In your free time, you will have the chance to explore the local area, experience Tanzanian culture, and enjoy your journey at your own pace.
Whether you are traveling for the first time or already experienced, this program is ideal for those who are open-minded, adaptable, and excited to connect with others on a deeper level.

Activities
As a volunteer, you will be involved in simple and meaningful daily activities that support our home and create a great cultural exchange experience:
Helping with light household tasks (cleaning, organizing spaces)
Assisting with simple cooking or meal preparation
Supporting small home projects (arranging, decorating, organizing)
Engaging in cultural exchange (sharing stories, language, and traditions)
Helping with basic daily routines to keep the home running smoothly
Note: Activities are not heavy or stressful—this is about teamwork and sharing responsibilities in a relaxed environment.
