My first experience as a volunteer could not have been better. At the hostel I found amazing people who welcomed me a lot and brought a very strong sense of family and community. The culture of the hostel Quebrada is also very present at the hostel, with lots of reggae all day long, which I personally loved. I also want to thank Alice for the freedom to be able to create content for the hostel in a freer way; volunteering was very relaxed and I did a job I liked a lot. Thank you for everything the hostel ❤️

Two unforgettable weeks at the hostel 💛 My volunteering was a beautiful experience, full of exchanges, learning, and incredible people. I was very warmly welcomed and lived moments I will carry with me forever. At 64 years old, I still believe that it's never too late to live something new — and this place reinforced that in me. A special hug 🤗 for Alice and Iury, this entrepreneurial and welcoming couple, who with much care invited me to volunteer at Canoas Roots hostel. Gratitude for everything! I recommend it with my eyes closed. And not to mention the grand nature of Canoas Quebrada. 🩷✨🌍

It was very good to be at the Hoots Hostel; I stayed 12 days this time, and in November 2025 I stayed 20 days. Alice and Iury are very welcoming and pleasant hosts, always concerned about the volunteer's well-being, they are always organizing something to do. There I could welcome guests, I took care of the pets, I carried out cleaning and tidying of the place, being able to keep everything clean and pleasant for everyone. The Hostel is close to the beach and it is a very quiet place, excellent for resting and staying in peace!! I highly recommend.
