I had an amazing time at the lodge, the perfect place to slow down for a week and appreciate the outdoors. Tasks were simple, the weekend was super busy but weekdays were much quieter and had most of the day to relax or go for a hike and explore the nearby huts and mountains. Tina and Andre were super welcoming, room was comfortable and food was plentiful and delicious. Would 100% recommend, absolutely loved this as my first Worldpackers experience!

My time at the lodge was beautiful. It was the slow season so the work was minimal but I was able to explore the many hiking trails all around! I felt so welcomed by Tina and Andre and always had so much fun chatting with them. I would recommend this to anyone :)

I had such a fun time at the lodge! Tina was such a lovely host, i felt welcome there and enjoyed talking with Tina and the other workers. I made a great friend with another worker too. The tasks were simple, there were things to do every day. I had some great food made by tina - mushroom goulash was my favourite. We went up the mountains in the mornings to watch the sunrise which was incredible. I had loads of time to read, to study and practice guitar. The nature was amazing and incredible, i definitely would recommend and would love to stay there again! :D

I stayed only for a few days (I left early due to personal reasons, nothing to do with the lodge) but I had a great time at the lodge!
I had plenty of time to go hiking and the area is truly beautiful. There were other volunteers during my time there and that was a really great part of the experience, most of the work we could share and also spend the free time together.
Work was mostly preparing the rooms for guests and cleaning the bathrooms, most days there was work in the morning and a bit in the evening but the afternoon was free.

I had the best week in the lodge. We got a pretty comfortable place to sleep, the property is absolutely beautiful and if you're into hiking there's a lot of different hikes you can try from where the lodge is located. I am so happy I got to experience so much from the Slovenian culture while being there, my favorite part without a doubt was the food! Tina makes the most delicious meals and desserts. There are tasks that you'll need to do everyday but you'll also get some time for yourself and to enjoy nature for a little bit. I had the best time, will def come back!!💗

The most gorgeous environment with a calm and peaceful energy. I enjoyed eating traditional slovenian meals especially ŠTRUKLJI!!!!!!! Tina and her family are amazing people, time really flew by here. Work load and tasks were easy and straightforward. I had time to hike/explore, play their guitar and do some art. I will definitely be back next time I find myself in Europe.
Thank you for a beautiful week <3

Had an all round horrendous experience here. While the location, facilities and meals were great the two hosts mostly Andre were aggressive and difficult to communicate with. Initially there was a mix up between the hosts as to when I was being picked up resulting in Andre leaving me in a random town whilst I was a ten minute drive away from the pickup spot. I only stayed on night as after going for a morning hike and coming back within the tike the hosts agreed with the other volunteer I was told Andre was 'angry' with me. Further previous volunteers had worked 10+ hours on weekends.

Your review is one-sided and contains statements that are simply not true. During the week, Worldpackers generally worked a maximum of 3 hours per day. At weekends, when the hut is much busier and there are significantly more guests, they helped more.
We expect volunteers to respect the agreed working hours.
We recommend that you carefully clarify the working arrangements, schedule and communication expectations beforehand.

Initial impressions were great due to welcoming hosts, beautiful scenery, and very good food. The work involved standard cleaning, bed-making, and dishwashing. However, poor communication soon ruined the experience. The evening before I arrived they said I had to hitchhike and walk up 1,5 hours because their car had a problem. On my 5th day they got angry at us for not following certain rules (which they had never mentioned before), then they kept on getting angry at us for not doing certain tasks up to their standards even though we never repetitive the mistakes and happily redid the tasks.
