Program Details

Arcapacha produces organic cacao from Tolima origin. Permaculture, care of the forest and of the rivers.

At Arcapacha you can relax, socialize and develop personal and creative activities. We have a studio for visual arts, spaces to practice yoga, Tai Chi and meditation, as well as areas for writing, making music or simply resting. We also have a natural pool with river water without chlorine, Wi-Fi and a privileged landscape that invites you to disconnect from daily stress and connect with the ecosystem.

The daily activities are mainly related to the care and cultivation of cacao. Depending on the time of year, volunteers participate in the harvest of fruits, pruning of trees, preparation of seedbeds and maintenance of crops. They also collaborate in gardening, carpentry, painting and construction to preserve and improve the farm facilities.

The day begins with breakfast and, at 7:30 in the morning, field work starts for four or five hours, depending on the scheduled activities. Afternoons and Sundays are free to rest, explore the surroundings or enjoy nature. It is possible to visit waterfalls, caves and wonderful trails, swim in nearby rivers or participate in cacao ceremonies and tastings organized for groups.
