Program Details

The Fraser Dingo 4WD Hire - Work-Exchange Program is a live-in work exchange experience based on K’gari (Fraser Island), designed for travellers seeking to experience island life while assisting with daily operations connected to our 4wd tour business.

Volunteers live together in our beach house accommodation on the island and contribute to the smooth running of the program through a variety of hospitality and housekeeping tasks. Duties may include cleaning and maintaining shared spaces, preparing and assisting with meals, helping with laundry, supporting tour preparation, assisting guests when required, maintaining a welcoming environment in the beach house, and contributing to general day-to-day operations.

The workload varies depending on tour schedules and occupancy levels but generally averages around 30 hours per week. Tasks are shared between two volunteers. Flexibility, teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential parts of the program.

In exchange for your contribution, you receive free accommodation, all meals, WiFi access, and the opportunity to join the tours in your spare time to experience K'gari.

This program is focused on cultural exchange, teamwork, island living, and providing guests with a positive and memorable experience while maintaining a respectful and supportive living environment for all participants.
