🌞 Life changes with the seasons
🌸 Spring
Spring is the season of renewal. We prepare the vegetable garden, improve the land, work on small DIY projects, and begin ecological renovation tasks.
☀️ Summer
Summer brings a vibrant international atmosphere to the farm. We continue gardening, harvesting, renovating, and cooking meals with fresh vegetables from the garden. We also preserve surplus food for the future.
Every Wednesday during summer becomes “ZACUSCA DAY” — a full day dedicated to preparing a delicious vegetable “caviar” using a traditional Romanian recipe passed down from the host’s grandmother 🫑🍆💛
Summer is also a time to explore the region and participate in local events and festivals.
🍂 Autumn
Autumn is dedicated to harvesting the final vegetables and preparing the farm for winter:
• Repairing fences
• Preparing firewood
• Protecting and resting the vegetable garden
Activities & Shift
🌿 Main activities at the farm include:
• Gardening & harvesting
• Ecological renovation and DIY projects
• Goat care
• Goat cheese making
• Cooking and preserving food from the garden
The activity schedule is usually organized together the day before, depending on the season, weather, and ongoing projects.
🌸 The spirit of the farm
Over the years, the farm has welcomed around a hundred people from many different backgrounds who share values such as:
• Autonomy
• Reciprocity
• Cooperation
• Creativity
• Authenticity
• Practical and sustainable living
• Respect for nature, others, and the place we share
If these values resonate with you — or if you feel you can contribute to this spirit — you will probably feel at home here ✨
🌿 Daily life on the farm
Volunteers actively participate in the everyday life of the farm and rotate responsibilities together as a small community.
Daily tasks may include:
• Caring for the animals
• Watering plants
• Cooking meals
• Cleaning and dishwashing
• Maintaining dry toilets
• Supporting the daily functioning of the farm
This experience is perfect for people looking to reconnect with nature, slow down, learn practical eco-living skills, and experience a more authentic and community-oriented lifestyle 🌻
Rules
ABOUT MEALS:
Mother nature and I provide the food (so mainly vegetarian). I can give ideas for the menu according to whats there to harvest but I expect people to cook.
IF YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER HERE, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE CONTEXT YOU'RE ENTERING!
=> A woofing stay on this farm is intense, as much because of the seasonal tasks to be accomplished as because of the discoveries and encounters I'm offering you. You can be sure that it will be enriching, but not all restful!
For these reasons, and to avoid any misunderstandings or disappointments on either side, I'd like to make it clear that I expect my guests to behave in a RESPONSIBLE, AUTONOMOUS, CAREFUL & respectful manner, with a MINIMUM OF EXPERIENCE of country life and/or a thrifty, resilient lifestyle, and a real desire to "do things"
