The Experience

Helping out at our lodge provides volunteers with a fun and social experience in a mountain town by Big Bear Lake. Summer time is filled with biking, hiking and boat tours and winter time is filled with snowboarding and playing in the snow! Big Bear Lake is a four season resort town where people come from all over to have a great time outside. We are seeking volunteers who share the same passion and love the hostel life style.

This was a life changing experience, getting out of my confort zone, trying new things and learning about a really collaborative experience. I am very happy I decided to come to the hostel for the hostel experience. I think it was a great entry to hostels as there wasn't too much going on all the time. It's a very laid back environment. the hostel is the perfect place to go if you want to be one with nature, go on hikes, & have some peace of mind. I ended up going to stay at the hostel in San Diego where I have met some very amazing people. The San Diego hostels are more of a night life scene if that is your thing. I will be visiting the hostel in the future & I already miss my fellow volunteers. Thank you for having me!

This was my first volunteer program and I can say that it was amazing. I enjoyed most of the time. Since I arrived, I feel comfortable with everyone over there. I recommend this volunteering if you want to be out of the city and enjoy the nature that is around the hostel

Amazing month in nature surrounded by incredible views and places to go. The staff was so nice and friendly, they are the BEST. Hasan and Bruno do an amazing job. There is plenty of activities to do if you are looking for them and time just to enjoy life and relax.
