The Experience

Helping out at our Mountain Adventure Lodge provides volunteers with a fun and social experience in a mountain town by Big Bear Lake. Summer time is filled with biking, hiking and boat tours and winter time is filled with snowboarding and playing in the snow! Big Bear Lake is a four season resort town where people come from all over to have a great time outside. We are seeking volunteers who share the same passion and love the hostel life style.

My experience at the ITH big bear hostel was amazing! I’ve met some incredible people. We had an incredible team and helped each other, dinners were delicious.
I got to go to their location in Joshua tree and to one of their hostel in San Diego; both places were amazing! Ps you’ll love yogi, he’s the king of the hostel 🐶😌

I loved every second of my time in Big Bear! So grateful for all the amazing staff and volunteers for making the experience what it was - I’ll never forget the ITH mountain team. The hostel is such a fun, warm place to be and Big Bear is so beautiful. Thank you so much :)

Staying/Volunteering at ITH Big Bear has been one of the most amazing experiences I've had to date. Hasan is an incredible manager who not only goes above and beyond in making you feel comfortable here, but also has become another family member in my life. I think an important part to note is that I am allergic to gluten and the staff here has been so accommodating with that in always providing me with something I am able to eat so that I feel included and nourished. I helped ITH Big Bear with their social media while I was here and balanced it with helping out with housekeeping / reception.

Being part of ITH family was such an amazing experience! The Big Bear Lake hostel has this immaculate vibe with trees all around, and a view to the lake. Hassan, the manager, was always friendly, patient, and caring since the very first time we met. I had the opportunity to visit their other locations in San Diego. I highly recommend this place!

This place it’s awesome! Yogi (the dog) it’s so wonderful, he’s the 👑 king! So beautiful and cozy, perfect to get in touch with nature. Hasan (the manager) it’s a great person always caring about people and giving his best to make you feel as home!
Such a beautiful experience! Also the owners (Jimmy, Bobby & Steve) are great! They care about you feeling comfortable and super flexible!
